This privacy policy comes into force on 1 July 2018.

Acta - barn og unge i Normisjon take privacy and GDPR seriously. Here you will find answers to how we collect and use personal data.

Processing of personal data

This online store (actashop.no) is operated by Acta – barn og unge i Normisjon: (hereafter Acta), which is a voluntary organization with headquarters in Oslo. It is Acta that is responsible for the processing of personal data collected when using this website. The website is built on WordPress/Woocommerce and is operated by Brainyfy, which is a data processor (processes personal data) on behalf of Acta. MailChimp is the data processor for marketing emails sent from Acta.

What type of data is collected?

Like all online stores, we are dependent on collecting certain types of information in order to be able to offer our goods and services.

When purchasing goods or creating an account

When purchasing goods/creating an account at this online store, we collect the personal information you provide. This includes things like your name and address — so we can send you your items — and email address, for delivery of downloadable purchases and to keep you updated on order status (order and delivery confirmations). You can also choose to provide a telephone number so that we can contact you with any questions regarding your order. You can also choose to state your local team affiliation (certain products in the online store are discounted for local teams). The information you provide will be stored under your profile, so that check-out can be done more quickly next time. You can log in at any time «My page» and change the information that is stored.

Purchase history is stored by us in accordance with the provisions of the Bookkeeping Act.

When visiting the website

Acta collects de-identified (anonymized IP address) information about all visitors to the online store via Google Analytics. In other words, the information cannot be linked to an individual - the data is aggregated. In practical terms, we can, among other things, see which pages are visited, which device and operating system visit the page, and how long people spend on each page. We also collect anonymous information about which website you came to the online store from via MailChimp. This enables us to improve and further develop our products and services.

By consenting to the newsletter

If you give your consent to receive newsletters from the online store, MailChimp will gain access to relevant information about you. For example, MailChimp needs your email address to be able to offer the service (send email). In order to be able to send relevant and interesting emails, we use MailChimp order history to recommend products you may be interested in. Read more about this in our email terms.

We will not send you marketing emails - or share personal information with MailChimp - unless you have explicitly given your consent to this. You can withdraw any consent to receive marketing emails at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all the newsletters we send out.

Information cookies

Information cookies, or "Cookies", are small text files that are stored in the browser on your computer and that the vast majority of websites use. For example, we use cookies on this website to make it possible to carry out purchases, and to collect de-identified statistics - these are cookies that make the browser remember which products you have put in the shopping cart when you go to pay, and without these, checkout will not be possible work without logging in first.

The website uses the following cookies:

  • Google Analytics places two cookies on your machine to collect de-identified web statistics (read more above): __utma — which is used to distinguish between users and sessions — and __utmz, which stores information about where you visit the website from (whether you came from a search engine or elsewhere).
  • Wordpress/Woocommerce, which is the platform the online store is built on, uses cookies for the store to function, for example frontend and frontend_cid, as exemplified earlier in this section.
  • MailChimp places one cookie on your machine: mailchimp_landing_page. This only provides anonymous information to MailChimp about where you entered the page from.

Use of collected data

In addition to the areas of use defined above, Acta can use personal information (information about purchases, demographics and the like) to carry out analyses. This can form an important decision-making basis for which products and services we offer on the online store, and is thus in our legitimate interest.

Acta will never share your personal information with a third party beyond what is described in this text.
